COR and interlübke Studio Vienna opens in May
The top address for a living experience in the 1st district. On May 26th, Reiner B. Mortensen is opening Austria's first COR and interlübke studio.
"The historic building is a delightful setting in which to present contemporary living culture in an interesting way," says Reiner B. Mortensen, a Vienna resident by choice who runs the studio jointly with his wife Manuela Mortensen-Giacomelli and their team. The search for a prime location took a long time: "Tuchlauben is a shopping street which is used by the Viennese themselves, not so much by tourists. We are very pleased about this because we want to make the two brands accessible to the local people."
Up to the opening in May four months have passed in which the three-storey building has been completely gutted and stylishly restored. "We want to demonstrate that furniture design made in Germany impresses with impeccable quality, charm and international charisma," explains Leo Lübke, Managing Partner of COR and interlübke. Customers not only receive excellent advice and services such as the planning of tailor-made system furniture. They can also browse through the exhibition at their leisure and pleasure and become acquainted with the furniture of their choice. Besides the new products in the 2011 collections (straight from debuting at the Milan furniture fair), classics such as interlübke's shelf system studimo, the wardrobe S07 and COR's endlessly variable sofa system CONSETA are also represented. "It is still exciting to see how a universal design language can develop new life time after time," says Reiner B. Mortensen and extends a cordial invitation, also on behalf of the manufacturers. Our compliments to the living experience in Vienna!
COR interlübke studios worldwide
In 2009, the manufacturers developed a concept to show the perfect interplay of their seating, living and bedroom furniture. Vienna is the seventh location with a studio – following cities such as New York, Paris and Hamburg. The largest exhibition worldwide is on display in the COR und interlübke Haus in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, home of the companies' production site. Both brands have received several awards, including the German Design Award, for outstanding achievements. Their products stand for contemporary living culture and a combined brand history of 125 years.
