xxx If you take a good close look at the picture on the right, you’ll discover two almost invisible connections between the flap and cabinet. These are the fittings, which in some cabinets are almost crude but, in contrast, in cubex they may well set a record for finesse... Unmistakably ample, on the other hand, are its extra-large drawers, where you can store whole canteens of cutlery, your library of DVDs and even your in- come tax returns for the last ten years. Of course, we don’t know what you’re going to keep in your cube x when it comes to all those lovely, practical, a bit useless but “can’t do without” things. We do know, however, that they’ll always be as safe as can be, kept in our compartments and inserts made of plastic, velour or veneer. By the way, the latter can be matched perfectly with cube x’s outer frame, which we make for you from one of seven kinds of gorgeous veneer. xxx Less is more, as they say, and hardly any cabinets have heeded this maxim as consistently as cube x. With its filigree joints, drawers without handles and reduced proportions, it stands for an enjoyable plus in elegance. At the same time, with a wide variety of frames, fronts in various colours and materials, top closing panels in glass and power-operated drawers, it expands the potential for creating an individual design. And is thus a fine example for reducing things to an extremely aesthetic essential. There are rooms that just cry out for visual quiet. There are others that need to be given a certain creative accent. And there’s a piece of furniture that satisfies both requirements perfectly. Taking its many frames, different colours and mater ials, you can compose just the cabinet that was missing from your room. With clean lines and filigree details, cubex stands for totally independent design. So independent that it also cuts a really fantastic figure, suspended on the wall as a lowboard. A tidy house is a tidy mind and cubex unleashes plenty of ways to get your things in order. Large drawers. Small drawers. And even small drawers which you can use to divide up the large ones. So that everything is always in perfect order – on the inside, too. Admittedly, even we cannot overcome gravity. But we can appear to in the most elegant way imaginable: for in- stance, by enclosing a cube x cabinet with a light frame made of fine walnut – and so make it seem to float. As the shades of our wood and lacquer col- ours match each other perfectly, they then attest to another, second law of nature: beauty attracts.
