We are modernising our machinery - more efficiency and flexibility in production
At interlübke, we are continuously investing in modernising our production facilities to enhance efficiency and flexibility. Our goal is to manufacture bespoke design furniture of the highest quality with maximum customisation. A key step in this process is transitioning our production to batch size one – producing only what is truly needed.
“With the expansion of our machinery, we can further strengthen our commitment to precision, efficiency, and flexibility. Our objective is to shift production from 100% series manufacturing to batch size one. Given our extensive range of product variations, we need machines that offer flexible adjustments and minimal setup times. Our new systems meet these exact requirements.”— Dr Frank Oehmke, Managing PartnerAutomated panel storage: Greater precision, reduced processing time
Since October 2024, our new Sawteq S-300 panel storage system has been in operation. It ensures that panel materials are automatically stored, labelled, and fed to the saw, eliminating the need to order pre-cut panels. We can now manage all panel cutting in-house, providing greater flexibility and faster response times to individual customer requests.New edge banding machine: Maximum flexibility in component processingAlso in operation since October is our Edgeteq S-500 edge banding machine, which is equipped with the Loopteq O-600 return and stacking system. This machine allows us to process a wide variety of components with minimal setup effort, making even the most complex furniture designs highly efficient.New 5-axis CNC: Expanding customisation possibilitiesThe newest addition to our production facility is the 5-axis CNC Centateq, which was installed in the past few days and will soon be operational. This advanced machine significantly enhances our ability to customise furniture by performing cutting, drilling, and milling with exceptional precision and flexibility. An innovative standby mode also helps conserve energy and reduce wear and tear.“With the new CNC system, we can cater to individual customer requests with even greater precision while increasing our production efficiency. It is a crucial element in our strategy to create bespoke design furniture at the highest level.”
— Dr Frank OehmkeA key step towards the futureWith these investments, we are future-proofing our production. State-of-the-art technologies enable us to manufacture more flexibly, reduce production times, and maintain the highest quality – all to the benefit of our customers. We look forward to the next steps and to continuing to set benchmarks in bespoke furniture manufacturing.
